Local Textile Exhibition Hall Honouring Her Majesty The Queen was constructed in H.M.King Chulalongkron reign after his reside in VIMANMEK Mansion.At that time this building was used as the office of His Majesty's Principal Private Secretary.Since 1932 the building was a part of the office of the parliament.In2003 The Bank of Thailand asked H.M.the King permission to renovate this building for display the local textile on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 6th cycle birthday,on 12th August 2004 to honour and commemorate Her Majesty's endeavors in reviving Thai Arts and cultures,especially the hand-woven textiles and tribute to Her Majesty's continuing support and tireless efforts in promoting this cultural heritage for the people in the kingdom of Thailand and beyond.
